The Manpower and Personnel department's mission is to assist the Commandant by planning, directing, coordinating and supervising both active and reserve forces.

TECOM strives to develop, execute and evaluate training and education programs to ensure that personnel are prepared to meet the challenges of military environments.

PPO performs management of the allies of the (USMC) and foreign organizations, training all personnel in foreign affairs, and advising the CMC on all foreign affairs.

Their mission is to promote Marine Corps combat readiness, integrity, efficiency, effectiveness, and credibility through impartial and independent inspections, assessments, inquiries, investigations, and teaching and training.

MARSOC is equipped with task-organized personnel who are uniquely skilled in reconnaissance, communications, special equipment support, intelligence, and fire-support.
